Lixso currently exists in 4 versions:
The boardgame Lixso offers 20 playable grids of levels 1 to 6 (beginner to expert), with 28 colored wooden L-tiles, a playing board and a handy box to store it all.
The game rules are in 6 languages: English, French, German, Dutch, Spanish and Italian. There's also a code to download 20 more grids.
NEW The boardgame Lixso Evolution is not just a follow-up version of the regular boardgame: it's an oversized 2-in-1 game. It offers a set of the regular 28 L-tiles as well as a second set of 16 asymmetrical L-tiles. Each comes with it's corresponding playable grids - no less than 82 total (on 41 cards). The tiles are in wood, and so is the playing board. And all of this more than twice the size: almost 4 kilos of goodness - and many more hours of playing.
The second game, with asymmetrical L-tiles works in the same way as the regular game, only with different shaped pieces - but don't be fooled! The new shape affects the logic quite drastically: twice as many positions must be considered, as well as a rang of 3 cells instead of 2 - which makes eliminating possibilities harder. This version comes in 4 levels (easy to hard) - but we'd recommend getting familiar with the regular version first, as there's nothing easy about it!
The fill-in booklet SimboLixso has 96 playable grids of levels 1 to 6, as well as the solutions. This uses the symbols instead of the colors and is played with a pencil.
The rules are identical for both versions, but each has its own style, more intuitif and playful for the boardgame, more contemplative for the booklets.
The boardgame also has a strategic mode for 2/4 players.
The fourth version is an interactive application, and you can try it right now, by hitting play in the menu!
